The increasing number of High Net Worth Individuals in Indonesia opens up new opportunities for the Wealth Manager profession. A Wealth Manager will strive to provide the best recommendations to protect, develop and distribute client wealth through a wide selection of investment portfolios.

In 2021, MM Undip made a breakthrough by opening the Wealth Management concentration. As a pioneer of the Master of Management study program in Central Java that offers a choice of Wealth Management concentration, MM Undip has collaborated with The Certified Wealth Managers’ Association (CWMA) to organize Wealth Manager certification for teaching staff at MM Undip. A total of 5 teachers: Dr. Susilo Toto Raharjo, Dr. Ahyar Yuniawan, Mirwan Surya Perdhana, Ph.D, Dr. Harjum Muharam and Dr. Wisnu Mawardi has completed the highest level of certification, namely Certified Wealth Manager (CWM). Besides these lecturers, practicing lecturers with doctoral qualifications from various leading institutions in Indonesia have also joined in strengthening the teaching team for Wealth Management concentration at MM Undip, including Dr. Sofi Suryasnia (Director of the BJB Pension Fund), Dr. Susy Liestiowaty (Director of Finance, Indonesia Power) and Dr. Didy Handoko (OJK).

Students who enter the Wealth Management concentration at MM Undip will have the privilege of being able to immediately take the Certified Wealth Manager certification exam after being declared graduated from MM Undip. It is hoped that these graduates will be able to play an active role in the field of Wealth Management in Indonesia and become Wealth Managers who can provide recommendations for the best investment portfolios for clients.

As a graduation requirement, Wealth Management Concentration students at MM Undip can choose a thesis topic related to the topic of Behavioral Finance (Behavioral Finance) with quantitative, qualitative or mixed research methods while still sticking to the 3 pillars of Wealth Management: Wealth Protection and Preservation, Wealth Growth and Accumulation and Wealth Distribution and Transition.
