The Financial Services Authority together with Diponegoro University signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Entrepreneurship Building, FEB UNDIP, Semarang, Friday (03/9/2021). The signing was carried out by the Chairman of the OJK Commissioner, Prof. Wimboh Santoso, MSc, Ph.D with the Chancellor of Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, M. Hum.
One of the points in the memorandum of understanding is cooperation in the field of scientific development in the financial services sector, which is realized by the inauguration of the Risk Management Concentration in the Master of Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University.
The Risk Management concentration program aims to accelerate capacity building in the financial services industry, where the learning process is applicable and adapts to the needs of the world of work.
All compulsory courses offered in this concentration have been adjusted to always focus on the field of risk management, especially in the financial services industry. Concentration courses are specifically designed to deepen students’ knowledge in order to master competencies in the area of corporate risk management.
The lecturers in this concentration consist of professional and certified academics and practitioners from Diponegoro University, the OJK Institute as well as experts in the financial services industry. Periodically, visiting lecturers with practitioner backgrounds will be specially invited to complete students’ understanding of the intricacies of risk.
Students are required to take a total of 42 credits to complete the Master of Management degree with this Risk Management concentration. For graduation requirements, students make a thesis with a major theme of Risk Management, which can be pursued by adopting quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods research methods.
