Conclusion of the Leading post Pandemic Webinar, which was held last 3 September 2021.

Today, society is entering “The Great Reset” era, where the relationship between leaders and workers needs to be redefined. Things that were effective before the COVID-19 pandemic were not necessarily effective after the pandemic.

With the culture of Indonesian society characterized by “High Power Distance”, it is very difficult to ensure that the pre-pandemic leadership style will be as effective in the current era – the New Normal. High Power Distance causes employees who under normal conditions tend to be reluctant and reluctant to express their opinions to superiors – due to the large power distance, they become increasingly reluctant during the Flexible Working Arrangement period.

How to solve this? The speakers, Professor Sen Sendjaya (a leading international servant leadership expert from Swinburne University of Technology) and Assoc. Prof. Corina Riantoputra (researcher of organizational behavior from the University of Indonesia) conveyed Servant Leadership as an alternative to Post-Covid19 leadership.

A Servant Leader will try not only to focus on the leader-member relationship style, but will also try to look at the situational context at all times.

The initiator of this webinar is the Faculty of Psychology, Diponegoro University, within the framework of the World Class Professor program; which can also be enjoyed by Undip Master of Management students because of the strong collaboration between FEB Undip and other faculties at Undip. This activity was moderated by Mirwan Surya Perdhana, Ph.D, Head of the Undip Management Masters Study Program.
